Will Google Launch a Netbook?

Google may soon launch its own netbook and join the club of other companies such as HP, Acer and others. There are rumors that a Google-branded netbook will become available sometime in the next year.

“Inside sources" indicate that Google is collaborating with a computer manufacturer on hardware specifications of its netbook. The netbook would be branded with Google and sold directly to consumers.

We do not know what type of processor the netbook will feature. However, there is a possibility that it may use an ARM processor and Nvidia Tegra graphics chip instead of the Intel Atom processor and integrated graphics.

The netbook opens the door to more Google-branded products in the coming years. When Google has announced its Chrome OS, it had stated that it was being designed for desktop computers as well as notebooks. Google’s netbook will definitely use the in-house Chrome OS.

Seems Google is really on for global computing dominance. Search engine to the desktop, it seems Google will be everywhere. We have to see Microsoft does about this–launch its own branded laptops?
