Toshiba has announced the availability of the Satellite T100 ultraportable laptop series. Though Toshiba has avoided the netbook moniker, the T100 resembles a netbook with its ultraportable size and low voltage consumption.
The laptops will be available in October.
The Toshiba T100 will be available for sale on October 22nd with 11.6 or 13.3 inch screens. The laptop will have over nine hours of battery life.
The Toshiba T115 will feature a 11.6 inch HD display and will be priced at $450 onwards.
Notable features of these ultraportables include:
– Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium
– Processor: Intel SU4100 or Celeron 743
– RAM: DDR3 (size has not yet been announced)
– Hard drive: 250 GB @ 5400 RPM and above
– Multi-touch trackpad
– Six-cell battery providing up to nine hours of battery life
– HDMI output
– Weight: 3.49 pounds
The other laptop in the series i.e. the Satellite T135 will feature a 13.3 inch HD display and will be priced at $600. The T135 will have identical features to that of the T115. However, the major difference is that it will have an Intel SU4100 or SU2700 processor (no Celeron option). It will also feature built-in Bluetooth and weigh 3.88 pounds.
