The Toshiba Satellite L505-S5969 is a great bargain laptop. It comes with plenty of space for your files, has a built-in DVD burner and comes with decent amounts of RAM and CPU power for all your computing needs.
The battery life is also very good. The laptop is ideal for use at home and office and also for students. It should be kept in mind that this laptop is not meant for hardcore gaming and other high-end computing needs. It is a down-to-earth work/school laptop and given its price, fulfills all the requirements.
On the minus side, the Satellite L505-S5969 does lack in some respects. The inbuilt speakers are very weak and the webcam isn’t that impressive either. And the laptop also doesn’t offer high graphics performance. These are OK for the price of the laptop ($699).
