Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 in January?

ImageNumerous rumors are circulating on the Internet and elsewhere that Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 or Rachael, as it is better known, will makes its debut in January 2010. While the extent to which these rumors may be true cannot be judged, there is a possibility that Sony Ericsson may after all make the launch.

The rumor first appeared on MobileCrunch. The new/rumors posted at MobileCrunch are usually correct as they come from “inside sources” and so we have reasons to believe that this might be correct information.

The Xperia X3 will be powered by a 1 GHz snapdragon processor and will come with a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen that can display at a resolution of 800×400 pixels. Additionally, it will also feature an 8 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi and a 3.5 mm jack. The Xperia X3 will run on Google Android with the same Sony Ericsson’s superb looking user interface. A preview of the UI is available on YouTube and if it looks that way in real, the X3 is a definite winner.

In the future, the Symbian powered Satio and the X3 might be Sony Ericsson’s flagship products which will bring the company back as a major player in the market.
