After the new Palm Pixi was announced, Sprint slashed the price of the Palm Pre smartphone to $149.99. Now Amazon is offering the Palm Pre for $99.99. Walmart has gone one step further and is offering the Pre for a throw-away $79.99.
The Palm Pixi is a feature-laden smartphone featuring a full QWERTY keyboard. It was announced on September 9 as a Sprint exclusive device. The Palm Pixi has identical features when compared to the Pre, but comes with a slightly lower resolution capacitive touchscreen display in a non-slider form factor.
