Paypal Suspends Payments To and From India

Paypal has suspended payments to and from India for reasons that have not yet been disclosed.

Anuj from the communications team wrote on the official Paypal blog:

“I’m writing to let you know that personal payments to and from India and transfers to local banks in India have been suspended while we work with our business partners and other stakeholders to address questions they have about the service.”

During this time, customers will still be able to make commercial payments to India. However, merchants will not be able to withdraw funds in Rupees to banks in India.

Paypal is currently trying to resolve the issue. More information about the issue is not yet available.
