Nokia Erdos 8800 luxury phone announced

ImageIt seems that Nokia has not forgotten its 8800 series of luxury phones. Nokia is all set to launch a new 8800 handset this autumn.

Known as the Nokia Erdos, the phone will be an engineering masterpiece–providing a range of new exciting features.

The phone is fabricated from a single piece of stainless steel and will run on the Symbian S60 OS.

From the surface level, it appears as if a piece of glass covers its display that hides it when the phone is in stand-by mode. The glass becomes transparent when the screen is switched on. The phone also features a rising keyboard which matches the display’s level when it is slided open.

Features and specifications of Nokia Erdos:

– 320×240 2.4 OLED display
– Triband GSM and dual-band WCDMA connectivity
– WiFi
– AGPS
– Stereo bluetooth
– Autofocus 5 MP Carl Zeiss camera
– 8 GB internal memory

The phone will measure 116.9 by 50.3 by 15 mm.

Nokia has not yet announced its launch date and pricing details. However, there are speculations that it will be launched in October.
