Micromax and MTNL have launched India’s cheapest (till date) 3G handset–the H360. This handset is priced at Rs. 5499.

The H-360 is India’s first operator branded handset. It will be minted with MTNL’s 3G service which will be known as “3G Jadoo”. Technical support will be provided by Qualcomm.
During the early days, the handset will be available only in Delhi and Mumbai.
With speeds of up to 3.6 MBPS, the H-360 will provide live Cricket matches, real time news coverage, music and video downloads, TV shows and many more features through its Mobile TV application.
Additionally, MTNL can also avail themselves video telephony and social networking sites such as Facebook and Orkut.
Regarding the launch of the new handset, Mr. R. S. P. Sinha, chairman and managing director, MTNL said, “We have had a successful launch of the 3G Jadoo service this year and received encouraging response from consumers. With the introduction of the first MTNL branded 3G phone, we are opening up ubiquitous access to a host of entertainment and enterprise applications and make 3G services available to our subscribers at an affordable price.
