iTunes 9.0.1 Update Restores ‘Maximize’ Button Functionality

ImageApple has released an updated version of iTunes 9 with fixes of some of the issues users were facing earlier. This update comes nearly two weeks after iTunes 9 was released. iTunes 9.0.1 fixes the issues users were having with the green “maximize” button.

To miniature the iTunes window in version 9, you had to hold the Option key and click the green button. However in iTunes 9.0.1, the pre-iTunes 9 behavior has been restored. Just clicking on the green button takes the player to miniature mode. Holding the Option key and clicking on the green button now maximizes the player.

Bugs that made iTunes 9 unresponsive or crash and created a problem while syncing podcasts in playlists to iPods and iPhones have also been fixed. Additionally, the latest version also has improved iTunes Store browsing.

Other fixes include an issue that affected multiple disc-albums and improvements in application syncing for the iPhone and iPod touch. Many users also had problems in getting Genius Mixes to show in iTunes 9–the Genius feature is now set to automatically show Genius Mixes.

The update in 82.95 MB in size and can be download through Software Update or directly from Apple.com.
