The Nexus One is a phone that Google devised its employees. The phone was developed for testing and collecting feedback. Sources indicate that Google has also created a “mobile lab” to experiment with new mobile features and capabilities. All this information comes from unnamed sources via the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, Engadget, Gizmodo, Boy Genius Report and similar technology websites.
A little more information on Google Nexus One:
The Nexus One measures 0.45 inches in thickness and comes with a 3.7-inch OLED touch screen. The phone possibly features a Qualcomm 1GHz QSD 8250 “Snapdragon” processor along with 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and a 4 GB microSD card for storage. Storage can be expanded up to 32 GB.
The phones also features a 5-megapixel camera with mechanical auto focus, 2X zoom and LED flash. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, accelerometers and a compass.
Till date, nothing is known about how much the phone will cost. Some speculate that the Nexus One will subsidize itself with Google advertisements. Some vague speculations put the price tag at $199. However, these are speculations only and nothing is known for certain.
We will have to wait and see. That is the only thing we can do for the present!
