Google Finally Explains UFO Doodles

Google has finally provided the answer to the series of UFO doodles on its homepage—HG Well’s 143rd birthday. Earlier, there were many speculations about this—we had many speculations as well—ranging from UFO sightings to alien-abduction movies.

Google also sent a cryptic clue on Twitter about the doodles. Conspiracy theorists went haywire after that. However, Google has now come clean stating that it is just for fun and not for world domination [Google has already dominated the search engine world].

Google posted a simple cryptic message on Twitter initially, and then followed up with a Google logo with the “o” being sucked up into a flying saucer. 10 days later, the logo turned into a crop circle with a tweet of the longitude and latitude of Horsham Common, the start of HG Wells’ War of the Worlds.

The last doodle shows UFOs and the Tripods attacking a town spelling the word “Google”. The logo points to search results of HG Wells.

Google really got use wondering on this one. Let us wait and see what it has in store for us in the future.
