Gmail comes with a lot of functionalities. However, using it with an email client has its own advantages. You can configure gmail to work with Outlook 2007 with ease. Here is how:

1) First, ensure that POP (Post Office Protocol) is enabled in Gmail. Go to mail settings and choose the Forwarding and POP tab. Click on one of the options to enable POP.

2) Open Outlook 2007 and go to Tools -> Account Settings. Under Account Settings choose the E-mail tab and click on New. Enter in all of your gmail account information. Click on Next.

Here are the important settings:

- Email Address: Your full gmail address
- Incoming Mail Server: pop.gmail.com
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
- User Name: Your full gmail email address

3) After Outlook successfully configures the e-mail server settings you can go ahead and click Finish.

4) Go back to your inbox and hit send/receive and all your emails will get downloaded. Once this is done, you can use Outlook with Gmail.
