ASUS has introduced its U43Jc Bamboo series of notebooks in India. The notebook features an Intel Core processor and Nvidia GeForce GT300 mobile series graphics. One of the major features of the notebook is its smokey bamboo exterior.

The notebook comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. It features the 2.4 GHz Intel Core i3-370M CPU with 3M shared cache, 4GB DDR3 RAM @1066MHz and 500 GB hard disk.

Apple has updated its line of MacBook Pro laptops, extending battery life, adding faster processors and more powerful graphic chips from Nvidia.

Apple revealed in a statement that the new Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics processor in the 13-inch MacBook Pro provides better graphics performance by as much as 80 percent.

The 13-inch models feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors and 10 hours of battery life, the Cupertino, California, company said in a statement.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro ranges in price from $1,199 to $1,499.

The company behind the Macintosh computer, iPod, iPhone and iPad said the new 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro models feature Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and “are up to 50 per cent faster than the previous systems.”

“The new MacBook Pro delivers both performance and efficiency,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro costs between $1,799 and $2,199. The 17-inch MacBook Pro costs $2,299.

Lenovo G550 Notebook Review

The Lenovo G550 is an updated version of the Value Line G530. Unlike the G530 which had a 16:10 screen, the G550 has a 16:9 screen.

G550 has a slightly different design from G530. It is entirely black inside and out. Build quality is excellent. The notebook is made entirely out of plastic, but it looks and feels solid.

The base of the notebook has easy access panels to the memory, CPU, wireless card, and hard drive, so you can easily upgrade or repair the components.
